The worst part about going in for an imaging exam is how it can leave you feeling in the dark afterwards. Sometimes it can take a week or more to receive the results from your doctor.
Metro Imaging’s exclusive OnSite Results remedies this. You will receive the preliminary findings of your imaging exam in terms you can understand – handwritten on a specially designed card – before you leave our office, and at no additional charge.
Our onsite radiologist will evaluate your exam and, in most cases, give you the peace of mind you so desperately seek. We will let you know your exam is “normal” or shows “no remarkable abnormality.” We will let you know you have “no fracture” or “no pneumonia” or “no evidence of cancer.” We will give you expected results, such as “gallstones” or “torn cartilage.” In most cases, you should receive your preliminary results within five to ten minutes after the completion of your exam.
Your doctor will still receive a detailed written report – via fax, mail, or our web portal – as they always have. We will call your doctor with results which are unexpected, or at their request, so they can speak with you on the telephone before you leave our office. You will receive the results that YOU need – and your doctor will receive the results that THEY need.
